I was first asked to make a kubotan in 2016. It's a good fit, I've been working with high quality hardwoods for years now and have build up a good degree of expertise about wood finishes etc. Also, I've been a martial artist for half my life, getting my first punchbag at the age of 11, attending Judo at 15 and eventually ending up with a local form of MMA. I've been collecting knives for as long as I can remember, and as I sit here writing this I can look up at the Sai and Nunchuks hanging from the wall. So, little surprise I enjoyed making my first kubotan. It was satisfying to be able to produce an item that was not only aesthetically pleasing, but also a highly effective self-defence tool.
I'm based out of the UK, and all the kubotans on this site were designed, made and finished by me.
